The Landsberg Home Improvement Process
Our Process typically follows these steps:
Step 1. Initial Contact.
− discuss overall project and timeframes with customer
− understand budget
− determine if we may be a good fit for one another
− set up an initial meeting
Step 2. In-Home Preliminary Consultation with Estimate
− free on-site meeting lasting between 1-2 hours
− review of the current state of your project
− listen to your wants vs. needs
− ask many questions
− share our LHI portfolio
− provide verbal noncommittal estimate based on previous remodel projects from our portfolio and Comps.
− take photographs and measurements
− gather all other necessary information
− email Design Service Contract if you would like to move forward together
Step 3. Design Service Contract
− review design documents you have already amassed
− reference code books, manufacturers requirements, trade associations guideliness
− consult with suppliers and vendors
− research and collaborate through online sources
− discuss in depth your project with designers
− determine layouts and key features
− draft initial floor plans
− create overall design
− render basic drawings and sketches
− schedule showroom meetings
− attend meetings and assist with material selections at showrooms
− draft non-binding Remodel Proposal with up to three iterations to proposal
The Design Service Contract is a critical step in the proposal writing process. This step is sometimes handled by an Interior Designer or Architect. I utilize all the information gathered during the Design Stage to go from a rough idea, or Estimate, to a detailed Remodel Proposal. It is generated from the free In-Home Preliminary Consultation and is drawn up shortly after we meet. This contract represents a defined level of commitment from our company, and typically ranges between $200 - $2,000, depending on the clients’ needs and the scope of the project (an intricate kitchen involving moving walls and plumbing would entail more planning than a bathroom surface make over).
Step 4. Remodel Contract
− sign into contract the Remodel Proposal
− receive deposit
− discuss appropriate start timeframe
Our Design Service Contracts and Remodeling Contracts are both tailored to your specific project and therefore take a significant amount of skill, effort, creativity, innovative design and time to produce. We hope you see the value in this multi-stage approach to remodeling your home. We look forward to making your remodeling dream a reality!
